Meeting of The Waters is a sacred Ngarrindjeri spiritual and cultural concept that refers to the river between Hindmarsh Island and Goolwa, and the meeting of the ocean and the river. Samphire Retreat acknowledges the Ngarrindjeri people as the original inhabitants of this beautiful wetland and we respect the care and stewardship they continue to provide to Kumarangk Hindmarsh island.
