At Samphire Retreat, we want every guest to feel welcome, comfortable and supported throughout their stay. We recognise that accessibility needs vary and are happy to discuss individual requirements and make reasonable adjustments wherever possible.

Accommodation & Accessibility

Both Nori and Kuko offer:

• Dedicated complimentary parking directly outside each cabin.

• Doorways with confirmed wheelchair clearance.

• Tiled interior floors, with rugs positioned away from main walking routes.

• Walk-in showers.

• The option to request additional accessibility aids or temporary ramps, subject to availability and suitability.

Please note: Kuko features a sunken lounge accessed by steps, while Nori has a step at its entrance. An entrance ramp for Nori is currently being prepared for opening.

The bathrooms do not currently feature grab rails, shower seats or accessible toilets. Additional aids or modifications may be considered upon request, subject to feasibility.

 

Outdoor Areas & River Access

The property features gravel driveways and pathways, fine gravel landscaping, and grassed areas between the cabins and the shared private boardwalk.

The boardwalk is wide enough for wheelchair access and has no steps or changes in level along its length. However, the approach includes a relatively steep slope, which may present difficulties for some guests.

Guests with mobility requirements are encouraged to contact us before booking to discuss access to the outdoor areas and river.

 

Assistance Animals

Accredited assistance animals are welcome at Samphire Retreat.
